These buses (which look just like our ships!) travel alongside our cruises from port to port, so you’ll be able to take exciting shore excursions without the hassle of worrying about ground transport. The Belle’s sister ship, the Spirit of Jefferson, offers lunch and dinner cruises year-round. Meals are served buffet style, and cafes on board both ships sell snacks to passengers who choose not to have a meal. A lock cruise offered in October includes a boxed lunch and a trip through a lock on the Muskingum River. Sightseeing and dinner cruises travel around Muskingum Island or Buckley Island in the Ohio River. The Belle of Louisville, a National Historic Landmark, sails from Louisville’s downtown Riverfront Park. Sightseeing, dinner and dance cruises, offered from May through October on the Belle, include live entertainment and narration by the captain.
This exercise, coupled with the removal of some seating, will allow us to ensure every guest with a meal ticket has a table to sit at that properly allows them to socially distance. If you would like to sit outside (which we believe is the best seat in the house!) we ask you to take your own seating and place it in an area you feel comfortable with. We please ask you to keep every other guest in mind when you choose that location and adhere to a 6-foot distance between you and other guests.
